One Life To Live Casting News : Crystal Hunt

Crystal Hunt (ex-Lizzie Spaulding, Guiding Light) is going to be arriving in Llanview on February 6th, Friday. Supposedly, her character’s name is Stacy and it’s a contract role. Stacy is a little witch apparently. Maybe a new addition to the teen canvas of One Life To Live.

Although I can’t shake the feeling that she could be a recast for Sarah Roberts Buchanan since Justis Bolding is leaving soon. She could definitely fit in as Sarah. I’ve seen her work on Guiding Light and she did great in portraying the pampered, rich, and spoiled princess considering she was a recast for the role that Hayden Panettiere rocked the hell out off.

Either way I cant wait to see what Crystal Hunt is in store for us.

One Life To Live Is Nominated For WGA

Congratulations go to the writing staff of One Life To Live for getting a Writers Guild Of America Award  nomination in the daytime category along with the As The World Turns (CBS) writers.

The WGA Awards will be given out in Los Angeles on February. I’ll keep you posted if OLTL wins. Cross your fingers everyone. Carlivati is doing great with the storylines so OLTL definitely has a good chance in taking this award home.

Look what I found the other day. Kelly Monaco’s (Sam McCall, GH) 2008 Halloween Pictures at the Pur Jeans Halloween bash. This smoking HOT all black ensemble reminded me right away of Kelly Monaco’s character on the defunct soap, Port Charles. Remember Livvie? :) . Kelly is also wearing a wig that looks like Megan Ward’s (Kate, GH) hair also known as Suri Cruise’ signature hairstyle, hehe.

General Hospital : Who Is Winifred?

From the conversation between Jason and Sam yesterday, I have this gnawing suspicion on who Winifred really is. She’s going to arrive in Port Charles armed with Spinelli’s knowledge of all things techy. Spinelli is going to be enamored. He’s going to think he has finally met his match. Someone who speaks HTML, CSS, Stylesheets, PHP, SEO, Blog, and all that stuff. Little does he know, Winifred is probably sent by the FBI.

Sam informed Jason that the FBI were questioning her about Spinelli. Sam is worried so naturally she told Jason. The latter is now curious as to why the FBI is all of a sudden interested with The Jackal. It’s kind of stupid and naive hearing this from Jason and Sam.

Of course FBI is going to investigate Spinelli. He’s like the brains of Jason’s “shipments” and the daily job of killing their Mob enemies. If Jason is all about muscles, guns, and hard labor (killing), Spinelli takes care of the traffic cameras, GPS, Google Earth, locations, bullet types and probably even where Jason buys his leather jackets.

I was going to say “WAY TO GO FBI” for figuring out how to infiltrate Jason and Sonny’s mob connections. Too bad Soaps On ABC figured out your tactic first. Jason and Sam will catch on somehow I’m sure. Give them time. Guza is a little slow in making the Port Charles residents encounter their epiphanies.

This is just my prediction of course. How about you?

Your Favorite General Hospital 2008 Storyline

While some of you or the writers love all that Mob related storylines that happened this 2008, I only liked 1. It opened up a lot of other great storylines and brought out great performances from the 1 character who is always in the middle of it. Laura Wright’s portrayal of Carly is never boring. She can be annoying, hypocritical, stupid yet lovable at the same time.

When Michael was shot, Carly’s world was turned upside down. Laura Wright was a class act that day. Her acting was controlled yet so effective. Then when Carly found that Sonny covered Kate instead of Michael, Laura was absolutely divine. She hit everything on the spot. From the dialogues to the finger snapping. Laura’s timing as her words flowed with anger and tears showed her versatility as an actress. She can be funny, but she can also be aggravating. Her tear ducts comes naturally. Being a mother herself probably helps her out bring all those emotions out of her.

There are other storylines I could mention that I also like but nothing compare to Michael’s shooting. It has affected everyone one way or another. It’s going continue that way even after Michael wakes up from his coma that SORAS’D (soaps rapid age syndrome) the heck out of him :). The other ones are just sub-storylines, but that’s just my opinion of course :).

Your Favorite One Life To Live 2008 Storyline

There’s no question that my favorite One Life To Live storylines for 2008 involves death and a comeback. The death might be sad but it bought out a great performance from a certain actress whom I think needed to shine. The other one, well, the layers upon layers of the storyline is sick yet amazing at the same time.

1. Nash Brennan’s death. Nash’s death was heartbreaking but it’s one of those sad things that happens in real life. OLTL had to do it. Bree Williamson’s portrayal of Nash’s widow was brilliant and believable. She knocked my socks off. Not only that, she’s able to play different characters (Tess, Jess and Bess) all at the same time at any given point. Bree Williamson is always on the mark.

2. Susan Haskell returns as Marty. When OLTL decided that Christina Chambers wasn’t cutting it as Marty, they “killed” the character off. For Marty’s resurrection, Susan Haskell had to come back. And it has been a wild ride ever since. Marty has amnesia, held by Ramsey. When the latter died from a shoot out, Todd took Marty home. Except she doesn’t know he really is. We all know what happened since. Marty has fallen in love with Todd, who happened to be her rapist from years ago. And now it seems like Todd is never going to spend a day in jail. As much as Marty hates Todd right now, she also loves him. Sick but oh so interesting.

Your Favorite All My Children 2008 Storyline

What is your favorite All My Children storyline from 2008? You can share a couple or 5 if you want :). Here are mine :

• I actually loved it when Ryan lost his memory :).
• Jesse and Angie reunion
• Jake Martin’s comeback
• Kendall thought she was pregnant with either Zach or Aidan’s baby. Seeing Kendall squirm was the highlight of my year, hehe.
• Annie’s crazy and psychotic true personality came out.
• Ryan and Greenlee reunion. I’m one of the few who actually like this couple. :)

There were storylines I didn’t really care about but I’m just going to focus on the positive. Too much negativity happens on Pine Valley already.

So, what were your favorites storyline? Please tell me you weren’t happy about Babe dying because that’s just cruel ;).
